How is the course structured?

The course is based on two training days per week. Each lesson lasts an hour and half for everyone. Other sessions, generally on Saturday for more expert students, last more at the discretion of the instructor.

During the lessons the beginner students soon start to work with the more expert ones.

How is a typical lesson carried out?

The lessons all have a high aerobic impact. They begin with thirty to forty minutes of traditional gymnastics and stretching in order to pass to the technical part when the students learn and improve according to their previous experience. After that we work with pao and bags and at the end the students are observed while sparring under the control of the instructor or his collaborators.

The students need concentration and sensibility for the practise with weapons (for training) with knife, stick, flexible stick, belt, dos puntas. Then they proceed according to experience to amalgamate everything with the same intensity.

What other expenses are there?

A physical examination is requested, plus the annual registration to Federation FISAM (20 Euro) and the fee for the gym.

Which equipment do the students need? At the beginning, pants and t-shirt, both black. Later, according to the level, patches and gloves and training weapons.

Can anybody attend?

Some martial art experiences in a fighting sport used to be required, but now Close Combat is open to everyone. Naturally Instructor Fabrizio Moresan has the last say on whether to accept the student or not.
